MMBNBCTOnline HistoryThis is a featured page

MegaMan Battle Network: Battle Chip Transmission Online has been around for quite some time. In fact, it has a long history behind. I, Shadow have been the webmaster since the beginning, so I can tell you everything that has happened.

At first, MMBNBCTOnline was just the name of a fan game that I have been developing for quite some time. It started back in February of 2005. About a year and a half later, I created a website for the fan game which was named after it. This was MMBNBCTOnline V1. You can find that HERE.

A few months after the website was created, I met someone who was a big fan of MegaMan who went by the name of ProtoEnzan. He offered host MMBNBCTOnline on a better server and give it a domain name. I started to design a new template for the website and eventually he uploaded it to the website which was now V2. It was later replaced by V3 (see below), but the link is and always will be http://www.mmbnbctonline.net.

After a while, I grew tired of the way the website worked and ProtoEnzan then programmed a flash version of the website. That was V3. It was deleted and replaced by V4 (see below) since it gave PE a lot of problems and I found it very bland after a while. PE deleted it, but its link was http://www.mmbnbctonline.net/megamanonline.html.

Much time had passed and the website was down for a while. PE insisted that I should use a new forum and he started designing V4. After a while, I told him that I really didn't want a new forum, but he had already integrated the new forum into the website, so he had to start all over. A few weeks later, I changed the layout of the forum and he eventually released V4 which had a similar one. V4 was deleted and eventually replaced by V5 (see below).

V5 was the most depressing experience I have ever had with the website. Here is how it went. I grew sick of the V4 design and I started to work on a new, similar one with the same layout. It came out good, but it was rather dark. I didn't really care at the time. Not long after I designed it, PE released it. But that was the easy part. During V5, we experienced countless server breakdowns and problems. It was rather annoying for both PE and I. Later on, PE grew very busy and never had time to update the website for me, so he decided to make a dynamic version of it (one that I could edit by myself). It took him a few months to make this and when he finally released it, the page creation process didn't work and all of that hard work was for nothing. You can find what is left of V5 HERE. After a lot of thinking, I decided that I wanted to make yet another version of the website.

V6 is the current website. It is in beta stages right now, so not much has been added yet. However, this version is dynamic so I can finally edit it by myself. You can find V6 HERE.

PE and I plan on making V7 later on, but for now I am satisfied with V6. We aren't even finished with it yet, so V7 is the last thing on my mind.
